Join us on Friday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the commons area for our K-2 mini musical, BUGZ. We have been busy practicing our songs and lines for our production and making our "buggy" headbands. Student Showcase

Parents and friends are invited to our Student Showcase on Thursday, March 15th. Our language unit is called, Stick To It, and we have been reading the book, "If I Never Forever Endeavor" about a bird who isn't sure it wants to risk trying to fly. We will be displaying beautiful birds we have made to go along with that story. Our birds are AWESOME -- don't miss it!

Aviation and Space

For the next 3-4 weeks we will be studying aviation and space. We started the unit by taking a field trip to the Museum of Flight and on April 13th we will end our unit with a trip to space. We will send home more information before our mission to space, but in the meantime, please send in a 1 gallon plastic milk jug (clean, please). These will be our space helmets.

Thank You!

THANK YOU, parents, for helping to make Kindergarten Game Night a huge success. I so appreciate you supporting this event. The kids are still talking about how much fun they had and how much they like their games. Another big thank you goes to the Potlatch Beach Partners who provided the funding for game night.

Teddy Bear Picnic

This year our Teddy Bear Picnic was attended by stuffed animals of all kinds. Unfortunately several of the kids were absent because of flooding in the valley. Our special friends helped us do our work, played with us, and ate lunch with us in our room. What a fun day!

Thanks

A big "THANK YOU" to the parents who:

Helped their child decorate the turkey feather.  Our turkey is looking gorgeous with all its beautiful feathers.  (To the 50% who have yet to turn in their feather, it is not too late.)

Send their child to school with a backpack, folder and coat everyday.  Teaching them responsibility and routine will benefit them throughout their school career.

Get their child to school on time (8:45 A.M.).  What a powerful message you are sending about the value and importance of education.

I appreciate all the support you give me and especially the support you give your child.  Thanks again.
